DIY Curling Wand

Hey Everyone,

Sorry for the delay in posts, life was a little crazy for me the past few months! Moved to Okinawa, got a house with my husband and adopted two rescue puppies from a local shelter. I'm finally trying to get back into the swing of things and start posting regularly again.

Today I'm going to show you how easy it is to make yourself a DIY curling wand. I see all over blogs and YouTube, girls curling their hair with pretty expensive curling wands. They get beautiful beachy intagram worthy waves so easily with the wands it seems like. I definitely thought at one point, I NEED ONE OF THOSE! But it's so easy to just make one at home with an old curling iron you have laying around the house. All you need is a screwdriver and within a few minutes you'll have your very own curling wand, for FREE!

I used a Conair Instant Heat 1" Curling Iron, which can be purchased just about anywhere.

Step 1
     gather your supplies

Step 2
remove wire dock from screws ( just pull it off)

Step 3
unscrew both screws on either side of the clamp (clamp will just fall off)

Step 4
unscrew screw holding on spring for clamp

Step 5 (optional)
screw in clamp screws and reattach the wire dock so it doesn't burn any surfaces

DONE :)
